Peter Pea

Peter Pea (real name
Petr Pivoda) was born in 1978. Always fascinated with electronics and computers,
he made first try in composing "music" in 1993 using friend's Commodore C-64.
Grown from hardcore techno through acid house and breakbeat to the dark and
groovy sound of minimal techno, Peter Pea was deeply influenced by underground
tracked music scene (.MOD and .XM music formats) where he released his first
tracks. In 1998 he touched FM at 88.9 MHz (Radio Jih) and started to broadcast
his radio show "Club Overground" (later renamed to "Progresso") where
information about czech dance scene and DJ interviews and live sets have been
taking place weekly for 3 years. In 2000 he has co-founded netlabel Tetris rec.
joining european techno tracker scene and his remix for Frohikey's track "B.Q.B.Z."
appeared on Virtuallabel (CD audio) as his first official music release.
Peter Pea is known as live act since 1998 (Tempotic Rave, Breclav, CZ), played
with Toky, Peter Pan, Elektrabel, Paul Hubiss and many others. In 2000 Peter Pea
played together with DJ Liner and the XcX combo was born, a very special joint
of tracked music and DJ art. In the years 1998 - 2005 Peter Pea visited many
clubs in the Czech Republic with his live act. In 2006 he met his soul lover
Leonita Aki, prodigal baby wanting to produce dance music. As a fruit of
cooperation they founded Soul Lovers (myspace.com/soulloverslive).
Their first track "Black Cherry Ice Cream" appeared on the Next Steps
compilation (Wazzotic rec.) in 2007.
Nowadays Peter Pea is promoting club parties, acting as a DJ using his laptop
and DJ mix and still pushing Soul Lovers production up to the transcendence. You
can catch him at dance music info server rave.cz where he is reporting and
reviewing.
